Positivity from resilience workshops

We know the daily challenges you face in your practices, and we're here to help you.

We worked with CNCS to create a 'Take Time Out' workshop to help people build resilience, and we've had some fantastic feedback from the attendees.

This was our first time working with CNCS, and it's great to see that our combined efforts have had such a positive effect on our 'Take Time Out' delegates.

Evaluation and feedback from resilience day – 23 April 2015.

Q1.  Did the facilitators establish a clear purpose and way of working?
Yes =     17                                           No =  0                                  Unsure = 0
Comments:
Clear instructions, some demonstrations.
Very clear and understandable.
Good initial overview.
Clear direction to each session and purposed objectives.
Asked what we wanted to get out of the day – clear structure.

Q2. Did your facilitators establish an environment that you could work in?
Yes =     17                                           No =  0                                  Unsure = 0
Comments:
Set ground rules.
Appropriate breaks, adequate time for exercise.
It was pleasant and well organised and thought out.
Small groups or pairs when appropriate.
Lively environment.
Supportive and friendly.

Q3. Did you find the sessions useful and engaging?
Yes =     16                                           No =  0                                  Unsure = 1
Comments:

Some sessions excellent, other not so comfortable.  Not sure the resilience table workshops were good.
I found the session on resilience least useful which was disappointing as it was an area I wanted to learn more about.
Well-paced.
Interesting to find out about one’s personality at this stage of life.
Engaging, thought inspiring.
Yes I can think of many ways we can implement the tools learnt.
Enjoyable, constructive.  Having the headspace and tools to think laterally around work issues, impactful.
Opportunity to work with different folk/groups, really helpful.

Q4. Did you gain any additional insight or learning outside your original expectations?
Yes =     16                                           No =  1                                  Unsure = 0
Comments:
Insight into myself and others.
Realised some personal factors.
Great course – well-presented and facilitate.
Models of change.
Absolutely.
Models of approaching issues.
Clarified some practical action points through exercises and peer discussions.
New tools and techniques.

Q5. Did you find the resources provided useful?
Yes =     17                                           No =  0                                  Unsure = 0
Comments:
Great.
Not so sure about the creative part!
Enjoyed the creativity more than I expected to.
Extensive and though provoking.
Familiar with some but not looked at for a while.  Good to be reminded of if provoked to think afresh.
Liked the pre-work and will be able to incorporate reflection into my PDP.

Q6. What could be done to improve the sessions for future learners?

Comments:

Encourage practices to send more than one member  of their team.
Nothing.
Thank you for your time.  Going home for a rest!
Modelling one of logical levels and clarify before starting off not offering advice/solutions.
None, it was very good.
Maybe explain it a bit more – a lot of folk shy away from “touchy feely” stuff but actuallt this gives us lots of practical tools.
Please make clearer expectation that volume will be added by doing the pre-course work.  It did say it, but I didn’t read my paperwork until the course was upon me.
Stronger coffee!
